How do social stereotypes shape the experiences and evaluations of managers? In this stream of research I focus on how female leaders can communicate in ways that can enhance their leadership evaluations while navigating gendered expectations. I also study how organizations can foster allyship through effective institutional communication and evidence-based interventions that promote more inclusive workplace behavior.Â
I examine how women in management can leverage agentic and communal verbal cues to help navigate managerial situations. I conduct this research in the scope of the project Agentic and Communal Cues for Empowerment co-lead together with Dr. Regina Hagl.
