What makes a leader charismatic?

How does charisma impact followers in informal leadership settings?

How do we treat charismatic leaders when they do something wrong?

These are the core questions that I raise in my research stream  about charisma in leadership. I examine how charisma shapes leadership, with a particular focus on its role in informal leadership settings and the processes through which charismatic individuals emerge and exert influence. I also study the darker sides of charisma, including how charismatic influence can produce harmful, unethical, or otherwise unintended consequences for followers and organizations.
